The mission of Metadata and Content Management Services Department is to provide good public service through intellectual, virtual, and physical access to the Libraries' collections and beyond. Working collegially with other Library departments, we define the policies and procedures necessary to produce responsive, high quality patron access to an ever-growing array of materials available through traditional and emerging systems. Working in accordance to national and consortial standards, we contribute with increasing effectiveness to local, regional, and international metadata, digitization and preservation efforts.
