The Writing Center returns to the Library Spring Quarter!

The Center for Writing will continue its Library Outpost in Lincoln Park's Richardson Library during Spring Quarter. The Outpost will begin operating during the fourth week of the quarter and continue until the tenth week. Please check back here at the beginning of the Spring Quarter to see the specific dates and times when the Outpost will be open.


New Mac Lab Open!

DePaul Libraries are proud to announce the opening of a new Mac lab on the Lincoln Park campus. Located on the first floor of the John T. Richardson Library in the Media Room, the lab contains 20 iMac's loaded with the latest software applications and running OS X Tiger. Use our Mac lab for all of your computing and media needs, including watching DVDs from our movie collection.


New! Create RSS feeds for frequent or favorite searches in EBSCO databases like Academic Search Premier and Business Source Elite!

RSS feeds, or news feeds, allow you to "subscribe" to your favorite searches. To enable this feature from any of our EBSCO databases, click on the "New Features" link near the upper right-hand corner of your EBSCO search screen. Scroll down to "One Step Alerts" and click on "Try it!" Enabling this feature allows you to create an Alert directly from the Result List, Search History, or the Publication list. Just click on the orange RSS Feed icons to generate a link that you can paste into the newsreader of your choice. For further information or assistance on activating this feature, please stop by a library reference desk or click on "Ask a librarian."

Link to Articles from A Blackboard or Course Web Site

Many of the library databases allow direct linking to full-text articles. This allows faculty members to link to full-text articles from his/her Blackboard or course web site. Instructions for linking to articles are located on the Just for Faculty page of the Library web site.   [top]
