If your instructor has placed course materials (books, articles, etc) on reserve in the library, access the course reserves site online from anywhere.
You may also access them via the library homepage, using the “Course Reserves” tab in the middle of the page.
Your instructor may also link to e-reserves from your D2L course or an online syllabus.
The Libraries offer full service for online and reserve shelf materials. Simply provide a full citation for each item in the Course Reserve Request System and we do the rest. For e-reserves, you will receive a link that you can post in D2L or other course page.
Material that is immediately accessible (i.e., owned by DePaul and not checked out) is usually available to students in 3 business days. If we need to order the material or recall it from a patron, it could take 2 weeks or more.
Please be aware that there is a severe bottleneck of requests in the first week of classes, so first-week requests should be submitted by these deadlines:
| Summer I 2012 |
May 11, 2012 |
| Summer II 2012 |
June 15, 2012 |
| Fall 2012 |
August 3, 2012 |
| Winter 2013 |
December 1, 2012 |
| Spring 2013 |
March 1, 2013 |
Please direct questions to your department or school's Course Reserves Contact.
Digitization of CDs and DVDs
Use the Digitization Request Form to get started.
CDs or DVDs can be digitized for an online or face-to-face Course. Please fill out the form linked above. A library staff member will review the request for copyright compliance and forward an embedded code that can be placed in D2L. Please be advised that it can take up to four weeks for material to be ordered and digitized if the library does not own a copy.
