General Library Widgets

These widgets connect to library services, including a catalog search, Ask a Librarian, research guides, and general databases suitable for any course in D2L

Available Widgets

You can find these widgets in the list of widgets in the 'Add Widget' menu from within D2L. These widgets can be added to your D2L course by choosing 'Edit Course' -> 'Home Pages', choose your current Home Page, then select the 'Content Layout' tab and select 'Add Widget' in the panel you would like to add customize.

Library Search Widgets

We have created several search widgets, including widgets to search the DePaul Libraries catalog, Jstor, Academic Search Premier, and more. You can find these widgets in the list of widgets in the 'Add Widget' menu from within D2L. These widgets can be added to your D2L course by choosing 'Edit Course' -> 'Home Pages', choose your current Home Page, then select the 'Content Layout' tab and select 'Add Widget' in the panel you would like to add customize.

Subject Specific Library Widgets

These widgets are created to point to specific subject resources and are maintained by librarians.

Subject resources are available, including links to research guides and top resources. You can find these widgets in the list of widgets in the 'Add Widget' menu from within D2L. These widgets can be added to your D2L course by choosing 'Edit Course' -> 'Home Pages', choose your current Home Page, then select the 'Content Layout' tab and select 'Add Widget' in the panel you would like to add customize.
