The Microfilm and Microfiche Collection consists of newspapers, scholarly journals, research collections, and
other items in a variety of microformats. These materials, and the microform readers that enable them to be used, are
available on the first floor of the Richardson Library in the Media & Microforms room, and at the Loop Library.
Those who wish to use microforms need not be members of the DePaul community. With a few exceptions, materials can be
printed using the microform readers.

Among the major collections of
microfilm and microfiche are:
- The Microbook Library of American Civilization: materials relating to all aspects of American life and
literature, from the beginning to the outbreak of World War I. Included are pamphlets, periodicals, documents both
public and private, biographies and autobiographies of persons both known and obscure, fiction and non-fiction,
poetry, collected works and papers, material of foreign origin relating to America, and many rare books not generally
available. Each individual work is listed in the library catalog.
- The Microbook Library of English Literature: major and minor works of English literature
from Beowulf to the late 18th century. Among the contents are poetry, drama, and prose, principal scholarship, and
religious and intellectual texts.
Curriculum Materials
The library has one significant collection of microfiche relating to education.

- Kraus Curriculum Development Library microfiche: documents from 1991-1995, and from 1997-2000. From 2001
forward, full-text documents are available online through the Kraus Curriculum Development Library.
