How to Link to Full-Text Journal Articles

Direct, STABLE and Secure Article Links:

Direct
The link leads immediately to the article, with no need to search or navigate.
Stable
The link works every time you click on it.
(If you simply copy a link from the address bar, it may stop working after you’ve closed the browser, and will never work for other people).
Secure
Users must login with a Campus Connection user ID and password to show that they are qualified DePaul users.

Direct Links and Blackboard:

If the library owns the full text of an article, teachers can often create direct links and place them in Blackboard so students can easily get to the article.

Students working on group projects or sharing their research in Blackboard can also create direct links.

More information about Blackboard can be found at DePaul ITD Blackboard Support.

INSTRUCTIONS:

To begin, choose the database where you found the article:

Note: not all research databases can provide direct linking.

Access to durable links off-campus requires a Campus Connection user ID & password.

Following these instructions keeps you in compliance with copyright restrictions.
