Authorize a Research Assistant to Check Out Books

INFORMATION ABOUT THE SERVICE

Faculty members may authorize anyone with a DePaul ID to check out library materials on their account.

This privilege applies only at DePaul.

Library system records do not distinguish items checked out personally from those checked out by the assistant.

Faculty members are responsible for all items checked out by the assistant.

GRANTING AUTHORIZATION

To authorize this privilege, give the assistant a note on DePaul letterhead to bring to any DePaul library Access Services desk.

Your signed note should include:

• Faculty name and 14-digit bar code number or DePaul # from the DePaul ID
  
• Assistant name and 14-digit bar code number or DePaul # from the DePaul ID
  
• Date privilege should expire
