Theoni V. Aldredge Collection

Theoni Aldredge, an alumna of the Goodman School of Drama which subsequently became The Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago, generously donated her costume sketches to the University's Special Collections and Archives Department. Ms. Aldredge has worked extensively designing costumes for Broadway musicals, film, television, ballet, and opera. Winner of an Academy Award, several Tony Awards, and numerous other honors, she is also a member of the Theater Hall of Fame. Her twenty year association with Joseph Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival is of particular significance.
