Getting Books

Search the DePaul Library Catalog

  • Find the item
  • Click on Request
  • Specify pick-up location

Search the I-Share Catalog to find items not owned by DePaul.

  • Click on Request
  • Specify pick-up location

To extend your search beyond the I-Share Libraries, search WorldCat.

  • Find the item
  • Click ILL button
  • Fill out the form

For all other books, fill out a Book request form.

Getting Articles

  • Use library databases to find both full-text articles and citations.
  • For journals not available online:
  • Search the I-Share Catalog for the exact title of the journal.
  • If DePaul subscribes to the journal, fill out the Article Request Form. Articles will be scanned and made available to you electronically.
  • If DePaul does not subscribe to the journal, fill out the Article Request Form. Articles will be sent directly to the address you provide.

Getting Started

  • Use the quick online sources listed on the left to get started right away.
  • Allow at least two days to request material from other DePaul libraries.
  • Allow at least two weeks to request material from other libraries.
  • You must have a student photo ID card with a bar code to request materials.
